Custodian / Maintenance Position Available In St. Charles, Louisiana

Custodian / Maintenance Jerusalem Shriners Destrehan, LA 70047 Seeking a part-time custodian (approx. 30 hrs/wk) whose duties include perform/oversee daily custodial, grounds keeping and minor maintenance activities; inspect the building on a regular basis; check for cleanliness and provide additional cleaning as needed to ensure a clean, safe, sanitary environment; coordinate with other staff on set-up for rentals; monitor building cleanliness before/after the rental and report any damage from rental event. Job requires some heavy lifting, setting up/breaking down tables and chairs for events, and some late night hours. Summary As a Custodian/Maintenance worker, you will be essential in maintaining cleanliness and functionality within our facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your core responsibilities will include commercial cleaning, floor care, and custodial tasks, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Your ability to perform heavy lifting and your experience in janitorial and maintenance work will be vital. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial and janitorial roles, with a strong emphasis on commercial cleaning and floor care. Ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain physical stamina throughout the workday. Familiarity with facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning practices. Experience in residential painting and porter duties is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
