Senior Center Janitor (Part-Time)
Town of Great Barrington, MA Pay Rate:
$17.98/hour
Schedule:
10 hours per week (2 hours per day, Monday through Friday) The Town of Great Barrington is seeking a responsible and dependable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Janitor at the Claire Teague Senior Center. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our senior community members and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms, common areas, offices, and program rooms
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Emptying trash and recycling containers
- Restocking supplies as needed
- Notifying the Senior Center Director of maintenance issues or supply needs
Qualifications:
- Prior custodial experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliability and attention to detail are essential
- Must be able to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no nights or weekends.
