MAINTENANCE

QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma. Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Ability to lift 60 pounds repeatedly. Ability to bend, squat, crawl, turn, reach, and walk for a long period of time. Must be team oriented. Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.

JOB GOAL
To assist with maintenance of school district grounds that will enhance the experience for the students and patrons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Operate all turf and lawn equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Trim shrubs and trees in a timely manner to promote growth and improve appearance. Keep grounds free of trash and remove items from grounds that may cause damage. Able to work in extreme weather conditions such as summer heat when needed. Adheres to good safety practices. Assist other areas when needed. Adheres to good safety practices. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position. Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies. Other duties as required or assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to travel between district facilities. The position requires a person to lift 140 lbs. 0-24 inches, carry 80 lbs. 10 feet, and kneel/squat for 30 seconds.
CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is consistent with grounds/mowing work and spends a significant amount of time outside during all seasons.
