Janitorial Fitter’s 5th street pub 500 South Ohio Avenue, Sedalia, MO 65301 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces. Duties Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct industrial cleaning procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Execute floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to keep surfaces in optimal condition. Carry out custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adapting to the specific needs of each environment. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and available. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Experience Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial. Experience in commercial cleaning environments is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
