$31K – $35.5K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Janitorial experience Maintenance Custodial experience Entry level Full Job Description Job Summary The Summer Custodian supports the maintenance and cleaning of the school campus during the summer break to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and respect for the Catholic mission of the school.
Job Responsibilities Cleaning & Maintenance:
Deep clean classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, gymnasiums, and other areas of the school. Strip, wax, and buff floors; shampoo carpets. Wash windows, walls, and furniture. Disinfect surfaces and prepare classrooms for the new school year. Move furniture and supplies for summer renovations or maintenance work.
Repairs & Facility Upkeep:
Assist with minor repairs, painting, or special projects as directed. Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to the facilities manager or supervisor. Job Requirements Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience is a plus. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and using cleaning equipment. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Respect for the Catholic mission and environment of the school.
