Floor Tech/ Custodial World Management – 3.4 St. Louis, MO Job Details Full-time $19 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Floor care Maintenance High school diploma or GED Cleaning Agile Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description We are looking to hire an energetic floor tech in the St. Louis area to keep our client’s floors clean. The floor tech will be responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will remove spots from carpets, perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning, dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection. You will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums. You will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment. Applicants must have a reliable vehicle as you will not always work at the same location and won’t be able to rely on public transportation. Applicants must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as this is when facilities are the least busy. To be successful in this role you will be mindful of slip, trip, and fall hazards. Preferred candidates are motivated, meticulous, and able to work with numerous interruptions. Pay will be based on experience.

Floor Tech Responsibilities:

Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas. Moving furniture before and after cleaning. Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors. Measuring chemicals correctly. Operating chemical dispensing units. Labeling chemicals correctly. Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently. Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties. Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor. Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.

Floor Tech Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred. Floor maintenance experience preferred. Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids, and communicable and infectious diseases. Resilient to noise. Physically agile. Excellent communication skills. Dependable transportation and able to work all shifts as needed by the customer to complete floors. Willingness to work nights and/or weekends. Must be able to pass a drug Test. Must be able to pass a background check.
