Environmental Attendant

POSITION PURPOSE

Successfully perform a wide range of housekeeping task and projects. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.

Requirements:
Education :

High School graduated or GED preferred

Experience :

Previous housekeeping experience preferred

Working Conditions:

Works in a variety of conditions and locations

VISUAL AND HEARING REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to see with corrective eye wear Must be able to hear clearly with assistance May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. May be in contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstatances. Able to handle emergency or crisis situations. Occasionally subject to irregular hours. May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary. General Duties Clean all areas effectively Complete daily assignments and projects effectively Uses supplies efficiently Operate equipment safely Post caution signs appropriately Clean storage areas daily Follow Infection Control Procedures precisely Utilizes isolation procedures Handle hazardous material properly Ability to self start Frequently performs other duties as required Standards for Customer Service Treats customers as the most important part of job. Listens to customer. Takes actions to appropriately and successfully addresses customer issues. Demonstrates respect for diverse cultures of all patients, families and co-workers. Honors the Customer Service Standards and the Employee Commitment Contract. Standards for Safety Follows safety guidelines in safety manual. Knows RACE procedures, location of closest fire extinguisher. Effectively reports potential safety issues to appropriate personnel. Attends all required safety education programs. Provides complete and accurate response to safety questions. Standards of Employment Attire is professional, neat, clean and appropriate for work preformed and wears proper identification while on duty. Maintains confidentiality of hospital and patient information at all times. Employee has completed the required Annual Mandatory Education within the past twelve (12) months. Consistently follows attendance policy. Standards of Quality Improvement/Innovation Identifies and challenges work processes. Works toward continuous improvement based on customer needs.
