Custodial Team Member Southshore Building Services, Inc. Biloxi, MS 39533 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle diverse cleaning tasks effectively. Responsibilities Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, throwing away trash, and dusting in assigned areas. Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met. Assist in Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Handle industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure availability at all times. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Experience Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is advantageous. Experience in facilities maintenance or porter services is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
