Jackson, MS 39206 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. Carry out floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of surfaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed. Respond promptly to custodial requests from staff or management. Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly. Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning equipment and chemicals. Skills Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various surfaces. Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively. Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with staff and management efficiently.
