Proposed Annual Salary, Hourly Rate or One-time payment Essential Duties Maintain clean, safe and sanitary conditions in and around the residence halls and/or assigned area. Areas include but not limited to: suites, offices, kitchens, living spaces, lobbies, stairways, corridors, and elevators
Sweep, dust mop, wet mop and scrub floors
Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors and other building surfaces
Transport trash and waste to disposal area and empty trash receptacles
Dust and polish surfaces, furniture, vents, etc.
Daily cleaning of assigned building/area (lobby, common areas, hallways, stairs, entrances, restrooms, etc.)
Replenish supplies in assigned area
Carpet spotting and light extraction of carpets
Submit work orders to report repairs as needed
Strip, wax and buff residence hall common area tile floors
Thoroughly clean assigned residence hall rooms/bathrooms at the end of each semester or as needed throughout the academic year
Shampoo and thoroughly clean, by extraction, the residence hall rooms/bathrooms, and common areas carpeted floors
Perform various housekeeping duties related to summer camps and conferences
Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as requested
Ability to respond to after hours emergencies if needed
Maintains custodial and storage areas in a clean orderly manner and maintain adequate supply of cleaning equipment, materials and supplies
Turn in found articles in accordance with University policy and Housing policy
Observe safety standards and practices
Reports all repairs required and safety and fire hazards to building manager and immediate supervisor
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications One year experience cleaning in a commercial environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write
Work with minimal supervision
