- Anemployeeinthisclassperformsroutine,manualworkcleaningandmaintainingbuildings.
Theemployeealsocontrolsbuildingheatingandairconditioningequipment.
Theemployee performsrecurringtasksinaccordancewithestablishedpracticesandcleaningschedules. Whenproblemsarise,anemployeeinthisclasswillreferthemtoaleadworkerorsupervisor. Errorswillberevealedbyinspectionofworkandarenotlikelytoresultinlossoftimeor resources.
Supervisionisdirectwithfrequentinspectionstoassurecompletionofassignments inaccordancewithinstructionsandstandardsofcleanliness.

- Replenishestissue,towels,andsoapinrestrooms,kitchensandclassroomfacilities
- Emptieswastebasketsandothertrashreceptacles
- Locksandunlocksdoors
- Sortsandstoresmaterialforrecyclingprogram
- Reportstosupervisoranydamagesor neededrepairs
- Picksuppaperandothertrashinschoolbuildingoronschoolgrounds
- Turnsheatingandairconditioningequipmentonandoff.

- Someknowledgeofcleaningmethods,materialsandequipment.
Someskillintheuseofsmallequipmentusedinroutinecleaning. Abilitytounderstandandfollowsimpleoralorwrittendirections.
