The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for food processing and production. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Duties Perform sanitation tasks in food processing areas, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and techniques for effective sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct routine inspections of cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working condition. Assist in the fabrication of cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain optimal cleanliness standards. Engage in commercial and industrial cleaning tasks as required, including custodial duties in warehouse areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure all sanitation goals are met efficiently and effectively. Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in sanitation, food processing, or commercial/industrial cleaning preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job (up to 50 pounds). Knowledge of food production processes is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
