ZINK IS HIRING FOR FACILITY CARETAKERS

Zink has two openings for Facility Caretakers to work on each of our shifts. Day shift is Monday•Thursday from 6:30 am to 5 pm and Night shift is Monday•Thursday, 5 pm to 3:30 am. If you work at Zink, you will never be asked to work on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

: The duties of Facility Caretaker involve the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning at our Zink Manufacturing Plant and Administrative offices in Whitsett, NC. Duties involve the performance of maintenance activities and minor repair tasks. This work is performed according to a well-established routine. Does related work as required. The Facility Caretaker must possess a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Must be a self-directed and take ownership of the appearance of our Whitsett campus.

Responsibilities:

Deep Clean, sanitize and maintain all bathrooms to a high standard. Sanitize Kitchen break areas and clean out refrigerators on a schedule Sweep, mop and wax floors, hallways, stairwells and building entrances Emptying trash cans daily in all common areas and work stations Cleaning surfaces in employee break rooms and meeting rooms. Vacuuming & waxing floors on a regular schedule Routine heavy deep spring cleaning Moving heavy equipment & furniture as needed. Adherence to all applicable OSHA, health and safety regulations. Washes walls and windows. Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment; Cleans and mops locker rooms and replaces soap or towels; Empties office and cubicle wastebaskets and collects and disposes of refuse; Moves and arranges chairs, tables and other furniture or equipment; Assists with company event work in kitchen and cafeteria; Checks windows and doors to see that they are closed and locked;. Performs a variety of errands and related custodial tasks; May make minor repairs to furniture, windows and shades, locks, faucets, etc. May make minor electrical repairs including replacing light bulbs or switchplates; May perform grounds keeping activities such as clearing litter and debris; May act as security guard in the event of PTO or short-staffed Assist with spills as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES

Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment and the ability to use them economically and efficiently; Ability to understand and carry out simple oral and written directions; Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position; Thoroughness; Dependability; Integrity Physical condition able to stand on feet for 40 hours a week, climb stairs, ladders.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
