The Village on Morehead, a luxury Independent Living senior community Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down areas. Maintain the appearance of the parking lot, front entrance, and courtyard, keeping them free of trash and debris. Clean and replenish restrooms, empty trash and recycle bins, clean desks, tables, vacuum offices and common areas, clean interior glass, dust partitions, cabinets, and vents, and mop floors. Ensure common area restrooms, gathering spaces, hallways, and specialty rooms meet cleanliness standards. Spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing/pulling, and kneeling while cleaning. Report any unusual or unsafe conditions in resident units to the supervisor. Follow all safety standards and applicable OSHA and health and building codes. Ensure proper controls of keys, equipment, supplies, inventory, and other property. Promote good public relations with residents, guests, co-workers, contractors, and others by being courteous at all times. Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies. Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team. Perform other duties as set by the corporation or specified by the Director of Maintenance. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1-2 years of related experience; Residential/Hotel cleaning experience preferred. Great customer service attitude. Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests. Knowledge of general janitorial and cleaning responsibilities. Ability to use janitorial equipment including floor scrubbing equipment and vacuum cleaners. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work independently or with others in completing assigned tasks. Flexible in hours, shifts, and days available to work. EOE/M/F/D/V
