Job Description:
The Area Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of various sites throughout Durham, Greensboro & surrounding areas. Duties include, but are not limited to: Visiting sites daily to perform quality assurance inspections. Helps solve problems that affect the worksite service, efficiency, and productivity. Meet with Site Directors / Co-Managers Responsibilities include but not limited to managing operations, controlling expenses and payroll budgets, maintaining vendor relationships and managing risk and safety. Handle employee issues / time & attendance Responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established by OSHA. Conducts orientation, training and coaching for new employees. Develop/Maintain relationships. Recruit/Retain employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and applicable laws. Manager is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to achieve maximum results. Perform other duties as assigned. This position may require some nights & weekends. This position reports to the Director of Operations. Must have reliable Transportation. (Company car provided after 90 day probation) Valid Driver’s License; Clean driving record Must be able to pass a criminal background check. 2 years janitorial experience required; at least 3 years in a management role. Great communication skills & Positive attitude Ability to work independently. Basic technology skills
