Environmental Services The Purcell Clinic, P.A. 418 South King Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facilities, particularly in commercial and hospital environments. This position requires a strong understanding of environmental services, OSHA regulations, and effective custodial practices to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all staff and visitors. Duties Perform comprehensive floor care, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high cleanliness standards. Execute commercial cleaning tasks in various settings, ensuring all areas are sanitized according to established protocols. Collaborate with hospital staff to uphold stringent hygiene standards within patient care areas. Implement environmental services procedures that comply with OSHA regulations to promote safety and health. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and ensure compliance with sanitation requirements. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or maintenance needs promptly. Train new staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial or environmental services roles, preferably within a hospital or commercial setting. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining clean and sanitary environments. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
