out of 5 stars Wilson, NC 27893 JOB The Wilson County Health Department is seeking applicants for a General Utility Worker position. This position will perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of the Wilson County Health Department Building. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with the Wilson County Government.
Hours:
The regular work hours are from 8:00am to 5:00 pm, five days a week (Monday through Friday). Night, evening, and weekend work is performed as needed or required to meet Health Department needs.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Description of Work:
Responsible for cleaning the Wilson County Health Department daily to a standard that promotes a healthy pleasant atmosphere for employees and clients. This position will perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of offices, exam rooms, and public areas. Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, supplemented by special instructions from departmental management as necessary. The Wilson County Health Department building includes 4 health clinics, a large front lobby waiting area, as well as a number of administrative offices. Examples of duties include but are not limited to: Cleaning and stocking of all restroomsSweeping, vacuuming, mopping and spot cleaning of floors and carpets Emptying of trash in all areas of the buildingCleaning of the employee break roomDusting and cleaning of windows, doors, furniture and baseboards Other duties as assignedNecessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for this position includeEmployee must have knowledge of cleaning procedures and must have the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to perform medium physical work.
