School Custodian – Immediate Opening Position Available In Grafton, New Hampshire

School Custodian – Immediate Opening Lincoln Woodstock Cooperative School District 72 Linwood Drive, Lincoln, NH 03251 School Custodian needed for a K-12 public school located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Full or Part-time hours available Monday through Friday.

Performance Responsibilities May Include:

Checks the building upon arrival for signs of vandalism. Ensures that HVAC, lighting and water systems are operating properly. Daily inspection of all cleaning equipment and repair as needed. Cleans corridors after school each day and during the day as conditions require. Sweeps and/or vacuums each classroom and office keeping all floors in a clean and attractive condition, thereby preserving them. Wet mops, waxes and/or buffs tile floors. Scrubs and disinfects toilet floors and fixtures, empties and sanitizes napkin disposal, cleans glass and mirrors. Cleans all drinking fountains, water coolers or bubblers. Refills paper and soap dispensers as needed. Empties trash cans and removes all trash, including SAU office, to the transfer station. Keeps the school grounds free of litter, to include emptying athletic field trash cans. Performs such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like, as necessary, to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition. Keeps doorways, fire exits, steps and walkways shoveled, sanded and salted during appropriate weather conditions. Assist with snow removal as needed. Dusts and wipes down woodwork, washes classroom sinks. Washes all windows, inside and outside and ensures that storm windows are in place in the fall and screens are in place in the spring. Sweeps exterior walkways. Secures the building when workday is finished by checking all doors and windows. Monitors hallways after regular school hours. Performs minor repair work. Reports all major repairs and/or damages as identified to the immediate supervisor. Inspect and clean as needed all ceiling and wall vents. Replenishes paper supplies for teacher use. Keep all custodial closets and storerooms stocked and organized. Prepares a summer work/repair list, including a schedule of work hours and vacation times. Remains on the school premises during school hours and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and his/her attendance is required by the Principal. Assists with all phases of graduation set up and tear down, and other activities as directed by the immediate supervisor. Carries out other duties as directed by their immediate supervisor, Superintendent or their designee Candidates must submit a letter of interest, a resume/application, and include three references.
