This position requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks, with an emphasis on efficiency and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas within the facility. Load and unload cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary. Operate cleaning machinery such as forklifts or order pickers when required, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. Handle heavy lifting and maneuvering of equipment safely throughout the workspace. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory or supplies as needed during cleaning operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Experience Previous experience in a cleaning role within a distribution center or similar environment is preferred. Familiarity with operating clamp trucks, forklifts, cranes, or other heavy machinery is advantageous. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and equipment operation is essential.
