What You’ll Be Doing:
Check nurses stations for spills or special needs Commence “policing ” of unit including am-policing room policing program Check frequently at nurses station throughout the day for special needs or discharges Completes discharges quickly and efficiently immediately notifies IVR system when assignments are initiated and completed if no messages come through the bed tracking system housekeeping aide is to keep in touch with supervisor/EVS administrative assistant by hospital phone usage. Must notify supervisor/EVS administrative assistant of delays and cancellations immediately Perform thoroughly and consistently the morning patient room policing schedule: Knock, enter patient room and cheerfully greet patients

These have an important impact on public perception of cleaning and patient care Clean center core areas thoroughly Transports fresh supply stock to floors as needed using hand trucks, dollies, etc. Supplies, carts, equipment and janitorial closets Must be tidy and clean at all times Restocks and cleans carts at end of shift with germicidal cleaner and stock with fresh product to ensure readiness for the next shift / day’s work Cleaning carts must be put away in supply closets when not in use Daily basis Performs in-between case cleaning in the OR and case cleaning in Vascular/Cath lab and when requested case cleaning in the OR Cleans all isolation rooms by following proper policy procedure and using proper isolation room cleaning precautions as dictated by Infection Control policy to include wall washing. Responds to emergency activities such as code calls, disaster drills, fire drills and adheres to policy and procedures At times will assist in training new hired / and existing employees Performs other tasks as assigned
