Overview The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of Jersey is seeking a Custodian Group Leader for Athletics Events – Operations.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Leads, oversees, and trains a small group of Custodians in the performance of routine custodial duties and basic maintenance and repair of related University facilities and equipment.
Assumes responsibility for a building, a group of buildings, or a campus sector.
Maintains inventories, work orders and other written forms.
Performs all duties of a Custodian as required. FLSA Nonexempt

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Two (2) years of experience in custodial work.
Valid driver’s license and two years of driving experience. Certifications/Licenses A valid driver’s license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
Two years of driving experience, and to successfully complete the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Two years experience in custodial work. Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to read floor plans and operate equipment to set up bleachers.
Must be able to operate hydraulic basketball backstop. Special Conditions Clean Driving Record.
