Janitor Position 1099 Employee Crew Cleaners LLC Matawan, NJ 07747 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Janitorial Staff . This is a 1099 subcontractor position , which means you’ll work independently and handle your own taxes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Conduct industrial cleaning as needed to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards. Handle floor care duties such as buffing and waxing to maintain appearance and safety. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required to support overall building upkeep. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies. Take out trash and recycling; replace liners as needed Restock paper products and cleaning supplies Report any damages or maintenance issues. Locking down facilities (setting alarms, turning off lights, etc.). Requirements Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred. Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely as required by the role. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must be legally eligible to work and provide a W-9 form. 1099 position – you will be responsible for your own taxes.
