Job Description
Chenango County’s Department of Public Facilities has an opening for a Part-Time Extra Hire Custodial Worker. Thisposition exists in the Chenango County Public Facilities Department and in various school districts and towns andvillages within the County. The work involves responsibility for performing routine repetitive building cleaning and minormaintenance work in accordance with well defined policies and procedures. Work is performed under the directsupervision of a higher level public facilities employee with some leeway allowed for planning and carrying out thedetails of the work. Supervision over the work of others is not a responsibility of an employee in this class. Doesrelated work as required.

Special Requirement for a Custodial Worker in the
Chenango County Public Facilities Department:
At time ofappointment and continuing throughout employment, a candidate/incumbent must possess a valid New York StateDrivers License and a driving record acceptable to the Countys insurance carrier.
The position has a 19 hour or less work week and 2024 starting pay rate is $17.76 per hour.
No Civil Service examination required for permanent appointment!
