The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care and general maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness. Conduct custodial duties in commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained. Carry out floor care activities including buffing, waxing, and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces. Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and performing deep cleaning as needed. Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and recycling in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Experience Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus. Skills in floor care techniques such as buffing or waxing are highly desirable. Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning will be considered an advantage. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
