This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and residential settings. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Execute floor care duties such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols and standards. Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies. Provide custodial support during events or special occasions as needed. Act as a porter by transporting items or materials as required within the facility. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
