Janitorial Crew Lead Farmingdale, NY Full Time Experienced Special Events Crew Lead 2-3 Week Event in September Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) has an immediate full-time opportunity to join our Janitorial Services Team as a Janitorial Crew Lead. Position Overview:

We are seeking a hard-working, dependable, and motivated individual to join our Special Events Team. This role involves hands-on physical labor, on-site event setup and takedown, and leading by example in fast-paced environments. Ideal candidates are comfortable working long hours, being on their feet, and interacting professionally with clients, vendors, and teammates.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of large-scale events
Load, transport, and install event equipment (tents, stages, waste stations, signage, etc.)
Ensure job site cleanliness and organization throughout the event
Lead small crews when needed and ensure team safety, timeliness, and professionalism
Communicate effectively with supervisors, event staff, and clients on-site
Troubleshoot challenges on the ground and maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
Work flexible hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Requirements:

Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
Reliable transportation to travel to event locations (may include out-of-town work)
Previous experience in events, construction, or labor-intensive roles preferred
Strong interpersonal skills; able to lead and work well with others
Must be punctual, professional, and able to work under pressure
Willingness to follow directions and take initiative when necessary

Compensation & Benefits:

$25/hour base pay
Overtime pay for hours over 40 per week
Daily per diem for meals and expenses when working away from home
