The Day Porter will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order in their assigned facility, ensuring a welcoming, clean and safe environment for both employees and visitors. This position involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, requiring a proactive approach to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting, glass cleaning, maintaining restrooms, kitchens, entrance ways and all high traffic areas to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable. Conduct commercial cleaning duties as needed to maintain safety and hygiene standards. Assist with custodial responsibilities, ensuring all areas are clean and organized. Support evening cleaning efforts by maintaining common areas, restrooms, breakrooms and office spaces through out the day. Participate in facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition. Skills Experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred. Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness across various settings. Capability to perform basic maintenance tasks related to facility upkeep which may require lifting, bending or wearing a backpack vacuum. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment. Good communication skills are a must as you will be communicating on a daily basis with the facility’s staff and management.
