Leather Spa® is the ultimate experience for discerning clients seeking luxury accessory repair and care. We are seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our leather cleaning and restoration service team at our repair facility in Long Island City, Queens. We provide shoe, handbag and garment repair, alterations, and cleaning services.

Qualifications:
Proven Experience:

Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience in airbrushing, with a demonstrated ability to create high-quality leather finishes.

Color Mastery:

Proven expertise in mixing colors to achieve precise matches and consistent results on various types of leather.

Material Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of different mixing agents and their effects on leather, enabling the creation of durable and visually appealing finishes.

Color Theory:

Strong grasp of color management principles, including color theory and color wheel concepts.

Continuous Learning:

Passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge.

Detail-Oriented:

Meticulous attention to detail when creating pigments, ensuring color uniformity and precision in every application.

Responsibilities:
Masterful Airbrushing:

Skillfully mix and apply paints to leather surfaces, ensuring complete and even coverage while maintaining the integrity of the material.

Precision and Detail:

Accurately replicate colors showcasing exceptional attention to detail and technical precision.

Equipment Expertise:

Proficiently use, maintain, and clean airbrushes, air guns, pressure pots, and other specialized equipment to achieve optimal results and ensure longevity.

Surface Preparation:

Prepare and repair leather surfaces, including filling and sanding imperfections, to create a smooth and flawless foundation for airbrushing.

Record Keeping:

Meticulously maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and project progress to facilitate efficient tracking and reporting.

Safety First:

Prioritize safety by maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols, and proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.

Team Collaboration:

Actively participate in cross-functional teams, effectively communicating questions, concerns, and updates regarding quality, timelines, or other work-related issues.

Versatility:

Demonstrate adaptability by assisting with various painting and coating tasks throughout the production shop, contributing to overall team efficiency.

Deadline Driven:

Consistently meet customer shipping deadlines by effectively managing time, prioritizing tasks, and working efficiently within the established daily and weekly schedule.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies to enhance skills and contribute to process improvements.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm OR 8am to 5pm 45min unpaid break Weekly hours 40 hours + Overtime Yearly performance bonus
