Janitor Construction SunCat Excavators Monsey, NY 10952 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. Maintain floors through regular buffing and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies. Conduct periodic deep cleaning of designated areas as required. Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain the aesthetics of the facilities. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing, is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
