Essential Responsibilities :

Custodian :

dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of offices, restrooms, dining room, and activities room. Light outdoor and basement duties as needed. Monday mornings and Wednesdays, 7-8 hours/week.

Kitchen Help :

Friday afternoons and evenings (1:30-8:30 – plus 3-7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays for the first 6-8 weeks) work in the kitchen under the direction of the Chef (and other kitchen staff as needed) helping with basic food preparation, serving, dishwashing, and clean up.

Qualifications:

• A friendly person who is able to work well both with (in the kitchen) and without direction and supervision.
• A reliable person who shows up for work and completes list of cleaning duties. Reliability for Friday (and other days) kitchen duties is essential.
• Act 33/34 clearances (criminal background and child abuse), which SWC will order.

COVID-19

Vaccination with Booster required. If Allegheny County COVID infection rates are elevated, masks may be required when interacting with staff and members.

Physical and Job-related Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand/sit for extended periods of time and will regularly be required to climb steep stairs and move supplies or cleaning equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule and Compensation :

$17.50/hour, 14-15 hours per week (or more, as scheduled). Sick time accrual as per City of Pittsburgh requirements. Start date ASAP.
