Custodian Clearfield YMCA Clearfield, PA 16830 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and an understanding of effective cleaning practices. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts. Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services or maintenance issues from staff or management. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment. Skills Strong knowledge of custodial practices, including commercial cleaning techniques and floor care. Experience in facilities maintenance or is highly desirable. Ability to perform cleaning tasks safely and effectively. Familiarity with painting techniques is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while completing multiple tasks. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.
