Summary The FloorTechnician will scrub, shine, clean and repair carpeted andnon-carpeted areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals. Thisjob includes operating machinery and moving large furniture whilefollowing safety guidelines to prevent injury to themselves andothers. Part-time Monday through Saturday 5 hours per day$13.00/hour Previous floor care experience required Must have validdriver’s license Job Duties

• Operates various types of equipmentused for floor care maintenance such as automatic scrubbers, floormachines, wet/dry vacuums, burnishers, vacuums, sweepers, pressurewash equipment and carpet extractors.
• Dust mops, cleans andburnishes floors; strips, refinishes, scrubs and/or recoats floors;machine scrubs floors according to floor maintenance schedules.
• Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to completefloor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects.
• Provides daily preventive equipment maintenance on all equipmentused.
• May be required to adjust alignment of squeeze blade,replacement of squeeze blade, hose replacement, and clearing ofclogged hoses. Tags equipment for major repairs, and advisessupervisor.
• Assists supervisor with inventory, ordering suppliesand ensures the use of chemicals and equipment is consistent withestablished safety standards and practices.
• Assists thesupervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor caremethods and procedures according to company policy.
• Be willing toassist with general cleaning duties as needed by supervisor.

Requirements Minimum of 1 year of floor technician experience ortraining required. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Reliable transportation to ensure consistent dependabilityrequired. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position.
