DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform cleaning duties throughout the facility. You will complete general cleaning duties such as mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing. You will also deep clean resident rooms, common areas, offices, nurse stations, security desks, employee testing rooms, dialysis rooms, kitchen areas, staff breakrooms, transportation vehicles, visitation booths, and public areas. This role requires understanding standard policies and procedures of the Housekeeping Department and ensuring completed work follows departmental rules, regulations, and guidelines. In addition, you will move and lift heavy furniture, assist with snow removal, pick up and deliver supplies, and dispose trash, recyclable materials, and infectious waste. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM), Tuesday – Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have every Sunday and Monday off.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital. (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, buffing, etc.)
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance. How to
