Responsibilities:
Make beds in patient discharge and on-call rooms according to cleaning protocols. Clean patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment per established procedures. Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues; report concerns to the supervisor. Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap to ensure adequate supplies. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of assigned cleaning equipment; report issues as needed. Remove trash from all designated areas promptly and safely. Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines. Move and arrange furniture, equipment, and boxes as directed. Wash walls and spot-clean carpets as assigned. Communicate suggestions for improvements or concerns to the supervisor.
Shift:
This position will work rotating days and shifts; 5am-1:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11a-7:30pm, 3p-11:30p, and 8:30p-5am. Candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays. May be pulled to other shifts/days based on hospital needs. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties. Ability to use housekeeping equipment. May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.
