Janitor 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Lancaster, PA 17603 POSITION SUMMARY The Janitor reports to the production supervisor and assures the cleanliness and maintenance of a manufacturing facility. For this role is required to work overnight, and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate will have proven ability to perform well on any of the assigned tasks. The candidate will be a team-focused individual who is passionate and driven to deliver best in class performance and continuously improve what and how we do our work to ensure business success. The individual is driven by teamwork and easily works cross functionally. This role is responsible for cleaning production areas, restrooms, and common spaces, as well as disposing of waste and supporting the facility’s overall upkeep. The janitor plays a key role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment that complies with health and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and surfaces in manufacturing areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in production areas, offices, and common spaces. Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and other facility areas. Empty and clean trash receptacles, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
Equipment and Supplies:
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers. Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and inform supervisors when supplies need replenishing. Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use.
Waste Management:
Collect and dispose of production waste, including recyclable materials, general trash, and hazardous waste, following company procedures. Sort and manage recyclable materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Keep waste disposal areas clean and organized.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to company safety protocols and industry regulations related to cleaning and maintenance. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals. Identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues and report them to supervisors.
Sanitizing:
Regularly sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and workstations to prevent contamination. Ensure production lines and equipment are clean and free of debris at the end of each shift or production cycle. Support to
Manufacturing Operations:
Collaborate with production staff to minimize disruptions caused by cleaning activities. Assist in setting up or cleaning workstations, production lines, or meeting areas as requested.
Additional Responsibilities:

Adheres to GMPs, policies and procedures and ensures the team follows them too. Ensures key quality parameters and all/every Critical Control Point verification and documentation in his/her area of work. Actively looks for and identifies opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Other duties as required or assigned.
