Laundry Porter (Full-Time, Day Shift) 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1200 Grubb Rd, Palmyra, PA 17078 About the Position The Laundry Porter performs housekeeping, linen delivery, supply deliver, soiled linen pick-up, and power washing as assigned. They are expected to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for elders, staff, and visitors at Londonderry Village. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collect and transport bio-hazard waste to proper receptacle. Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned by supervisor. Power washes trash carts, recycling containers, and wheelchairs on established monthly schedule. Disinfects high-touch areas. Receive daily work assignment from supervisor. Obtain necessary equipment and supplies before proceeding to assigned work area. Follows proper procedures, utilizing the correct chemical and equipment for each task. Changes curtains, blinds, draperies, and shower curtains as assigned. Notify supervisor of equipment needing repair. Reports safety hazards to supervisor. Keep equipment, closets, carts, and cleaning areas neat and orderly. Return unused supplies to appropriate storage area at end of shift. Delivery of clean laundry linens to various locations on campus. Soiled linen pick-up in healthcare unites, personal care, and main building. Responsible for pick-up, labeling, and delivery of residents’ personal clothing. Monitors and delivers housekeeping supplies to various locations on campus. Maintains equipment in proper working order including performing basic preventative care. Use the WorxHub software for billing, scheduling, and quality reporting. Use Paycom software to clock in/out, submit time-off requests, and manage payroll. Use OnShift software to monitor work schedule. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to complete the essential functions of the position. Has general knowledge of computer systems and the ability to navigate around basic Windows programs. Must follow all universal precautions procedures, including use of personal protective equipment, due to high potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
