Job Description:

Performs maintenance and inspections of Center’s facilities andsystems to ensure functionality and prevent disruption of studentand staff services. Completes, tracks and documents work status andnotifies supervisor of issues and concerns. May superviseWork-Based Learning students to enhance student’s employabilityskills and provide industry- relevant training. Provides studentswith timely and efficient student transportation services asrequired. Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation perDOL/Company requirements. May be assigned to assist in otherdepartments as required. Schedules and delivers vehicles forpreventive maintenance and repairs as necessary. Conducts vehicleinspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor.

Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely andaccurate manner. Maintains appropriate personal attendance,accountability and work productivity standards. Plans, prioritizesand organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.

Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete allrequired job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skillsrequired to perform job duties. Mentors, monitors and models theCareer Success Standards as required by the PRH. Shows respect andcourtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actionsand behavior. Provides quality services for students and ensuresthat quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursuesimprovement and enhancement of requisite services. Exchanges ideasand information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concisemanner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offeringrelevant ideas and knowledge. .Provides quality and timelyinformation to DOL/Company when requested. Effectively articulatesthoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes andevaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommendingactions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is takenand that problems are in fact corrected. Works in partnership withstaff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision andservices are provided to students. Accepts direction andsupervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/ShiftManager to include assignments to temporarily perform jobresponsibilities of other departments and positions. Provides safe,efficient and effective transportation for students. Responsiblefor the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facility andgrounds. May supervise Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning studentsassigned to the department. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanceddegrees preferred. Prefer previous experience working with youth.

Must possess and maintain a valid in-State Driver’s License andmeet Company insurability requirements. Physical requirementsinclude sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pullingand/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
