Custodian AA Nagy Excavating and Construction Inc. Oil City, PA 16301 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces. Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, contributing to the overall upkeep of the building. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the facility. Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or management, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment. Skills Proven experience in custodial or cleaning roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment. Knowledge of floor care practices including buffing and maintenance of various surface types. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is a plus, enhancing overall operational efficiency. Ability to perform residential painting as needed, contributing to aesthetic improvements within the facility. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
