Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring Janitor in Ladson, SC . As a Janitor, you will be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleansand maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties,such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass,and removing trash. Notifies managers concerning the need for minoror major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Establishes and maintains effective communication and workingrelationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators,supervisors, managers, etc. Complies with all safety, security,compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by theCompany, Clients, and regulatory authorities. Cleaner must beflexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, orvacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleanersand power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

Utilizes ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, blinds andselect equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts light fixtures andceiling vents. Removes stains from surfaces such as carpet,drapes/shades, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaningsolutions. Prepares cleaning solutions per specifications. Strips,seals, finishes, and polishes floors. Cleans and vacuums carpetedareas, including application of spot cleaning treatment. Gatherstrash and empties in appropriate trash and recycling bins. Wipesand cleans tabletops, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.

Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures. Services, cleans, andsupplies restrooms. Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glasspartitions, and mirrors. Keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderlyand maintain equipment in good working order. Monitors buildingsecurity and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors afteroperating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use toensure that hazards are not created.

SKILLS:

1 year of relevantexperience in industrial or commercial cleaning This is aFull-Time, Contract opportunity.
