Day Porter YCL Commercial Maintenance Group Simpsonville, SC 29680 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Day Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This position is essential for ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. The Day Porter will be responsible for various cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the day, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities. Duties Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness. Carry out commercial cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas are sanitized and well-maintained. Buff and maintain floors to ensure they are in excellent condition. Provide industrial cleaning services in designated areas, adhering to safety standards. Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as necessary to ensure operational efficiency. Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and break rooms throughout the facility. Respond promptly to any urgent cleaning requests or spills to ensure safety and cleanliness. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance. Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must be physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting and moving equipment as needed.
