JOB TITLE

Janitorial Team Member Reports to: Plant Manager / Production Manager

II. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Maintain cleanliness of plant floor, all work spaces/areas, plant washrooms and any other related areas including but not limited to: Maintaining all floor surfaces and stairs ensuring they are free from any and all trip, slip and fall hazards including all trash removal, mopping, broom sweeping and/or operation of floor sweeper. Maintain supply of amenities in bathrooms such as toilet paper, paper towel, soap, hand sanitizer, etc. Maintain supply of cleaning chemicals and equipment Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris [snow / ice/ other] Yard maintenance (i.e., salting, shoveling of all plant entrances) Ensure the lunch area is well maintained and managed, cleanliness of tables, floors, microwaves, and fridges/coolers and trash removal throughout shifts. Light maintenance duties including painting, washing of windows and walls as needed / requested Follow the daily, weekly, monthly, annual cleaning tasks as instructed Other duties as assigned by plant manager Ensure compliance to regulations and company policies. Support the Health & Safety Program, report any hazards to the Plant Manager immediately.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate(s) must be open-minded and flexible, organized and detail oriented, team oriented, disciplined, energetic, and must have a positive attitude, along with the following qualifications: Previous experience working safely in a manufacturing/industrial environment equipment in a maintenance and/or custodial capacity. Proven ability to have a high level of attention to detail Able to work well in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Self-Starter Customer-focused and professional. Safety conscious Must have good organizational skills Physically capable of lifting in excess of 40lbs, bending, crouching and kneeling.
