POSITION PURPOSE
The Janitor Lead oversees the day-to-day cleaning operations and quality programs of specific accounts or group sites. A lead has over 1 year of experience in the cleaning and/or janitorial arenas and is well versed in safety requirements, equipment use, scheduling and training.
SCHEDULE
Full Time- Monday- Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees. Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and techniques Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained. Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained. Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work. EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities: Stand Walk Lift/Climb Talk/Hear Use hands to finger, handle or feel. Reach with hands or arms.
