Night Custodian Herald Office Solutions 2173 Gardner Blv, Holly Hill, SC 29059 The Night Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within healthcare facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas are properly cleaned and disinfected to meet health and safety standards. The technician will work closely with other staff members to support the overall mission of providing a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Duties Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas in accordance with established protocols. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective sanitation while adhering to OSHA regulations. Conduct floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Collect and dispose of waste materials following proper procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning duties to the supervisor promptly. Assist in the training of new staff members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols as required. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low. Experience Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred, particularly in a hospital or healthcare setting. Familiarity with environmental services practices and procedures is highly advantageous. Knowledge of OSHA standards related to cleaning and sanitation is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
