Summary As a Janitor , you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our school facilities. Your role is vital in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both students and staff. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, and common areas. Maintain floors through regular care, including buffing and stripping as needed. Ensure all facilities are stocked with necessary supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks during special events or deep cleaning days. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager promptly. Support the setup of facilities for events or activities as required. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred. Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment usage. Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in various environments. Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and students. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance is beneficial but not required. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.
