PM Job Overview:

The Custodial Worker Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of custodial staff across school district facilities. This role ensures buildings are clean, safe, and maintained in accordance with health and safety standards. The supervisor will oversee scheduling, performance management, supply ordering, and communication with school administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and evaluate custodial staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Develop and manage daily and weekly cleaning schedules. Monitor staff performance and address disciplinary issues as needed. Coordinate with school officials regarding facility needs and maintenance planning. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance. Order cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, and manage inventory. Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies. Maintain detailed records of staff schedules, inventory, and maintenance logs. Assist in hiring and onboarding of new custodial personnel. Foster a collaborative and professional team environment.

Other Functions:

Work is primarily performed on school property. May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for special events or emergencies. Occasional travel may be required for training or district-related meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Four (4) years of full-time custodial experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory role . Associate’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Contract Pay:

$21.15 – $25.47 per hour Expected hours: 38 per week
