Plant Superintendent Manager Job Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the facility, ensuring a safe and organized work environment. This role includes general cleaning duties, waste disposal, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, replenishing supplies as needed. Remove trash and recyclable materials, ensuring proper disposal in compliance with company and state environmental regulations. Clean and maintain floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment. Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting facility issues. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when reordering is necessary. Adhere to safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company regulations to ensure a safe work environment. Support emergency clean-up activities in case of spills or other incidents. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain overall plant cleanliness. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Prior janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and handling of industrial cleaning chemicals. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, and prolonged standing. Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations (OSHA/Cal-OSHA). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
