Responsibilities:

Sweep, mop, refinish, and vacuum floors in depot and train cars Wash woodwork, walls, partitions, windows and ceilings Clean and empty waste cans Clean restrooms and refill supplies Other cleaning duties as assigned Report need for cleaning supplies Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions including faulty plumbing or electrical service. Receives assignments and instructions from the Supervisor. Must be able to work independent of supervision. Knows how to safely and efficiently use cleaning materials and equipment; has a general knowledge of cleaning methods. Demonstrates tact and courtesy in contact with train occupants. Observes and follows safe work practices, and through personal action and assistance, encourages others to do likewise; keeps the work area free from hazards; and informs their direct report of existing and potentially safety hazards.
