Custodian Furry Tales Collegedale, TN 37315 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facilities. This position involves various cleaning tasks, including commercial and industrial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance duties. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Duties Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies and sanitized regularly. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the functionality of the building. Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts according to established procedures. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Support special projects such as residential painting or deep cleaning initiatives as required. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is beneficial. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
