Knoxville, TN 37919 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on commercial spaces. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties as required, adhering to safety protocols. Assist with residential painting projects as needed, ensuring high-quality finishes. Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency. Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Follow established cleaning schedules while being flexible to accommodate special requests or events. Skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Experience in custodial services, including industrial and commercial cleaning practices. Proficient in floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills to interact with staff and management professionally.
