Kitchen Manager Summary:
We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The main responsibilities for this position will be to prepare and clean the cafeteria before and after hot lunch meals, and other duties, as assigned. The ideal candidate will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.
Specific Responsibilities:
Set up the Lower School Cafeteria for hot lunch by checking sanitation supplies and setting up/wiping tables, etc. Clean the cafeteria after all lunches are completed. Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces Sweep and mop floors Clean and maintain food service equipment and facilities. Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

Knowledge of use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and appliances Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components Attention to detail and conscientiousness High school diploma is preferred but not required Good customer service Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and others. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently. Ability to approach others in a tactful manner.
